Illimat: The Syzygy Coin

“A syzygy may oppose or conjoin; let the turning of coin and tide add further spice to the seasons.” - The Luminary Matriarch
Something precious is launching November 1st: the solid bronze Illimat Syzygy Coin. Is it a challenge coin? Is it an okus? Does it have gameplay affecting properties? Yes, Yes, and Yes.
There is a weighty history to this coin, a historic provenance that influenced how Illimat was popularized in the Americas and drew the Luminary Matriarch to bestow a high honor... But that's a story for another day. Tuesday November 1st at illimat.com,  to be specific.
Let's talk about who we partnered with to bring this coin to life. For us, there was only one minter in North America who could understand the gravity of the Syzygy Coin and the history of The Society of Luminaries: Shire Post Mint.  Shire Post is a family run mint based in the Arkansas plateau that uses both traditional and unconventional engraving techniques.  They use historic presses to bring objects from other worlds into ours, like Tolkien's Lord of The Rings, George RR Martin's Game of Thrones, and Jim Henson's Labyrinth.  As fans of of Illimat who understand the world of the game,  working with Shire Post Mint has been a delight. Even the historic press that made these coins looks like it was forged by the matriarch her self. The Syzygy Coin joins Illimat Second Edition, The Crane Wife Set and The False Baron's Set in our offering launching on November 1st, but that's not all—look out for The Cadet Pin, The King of Stars Holiday Card and more!  Check out the FAQ about the preorder and Illimat Second Edition here and join our mailing list to get notified when we launch!
Once again, we're launching the second edition of Illimat next week, on Tuesday November 1st at 9am pacific time at Illimat.com. Sign up for our mailing list so you don't miss out.
All the best!
